CUSTOMER COMPLAINT SETTLEMENT SCHEME (CCSS) FOR THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS INDUSTRY

China-Hong Kong Telecom Ltd has participated in the Customer Complaint Settlement Scheme (hereinafter referred to as "CCSS").

The CCSS is a mediation scheme set up by the telecommunications industry to help resolve billing disputes in deadlock between customers and their telecommunications service providers.

The mediation service is provided by an agency set up under the Communications Association of Hong Kong, an industry association representing the communications sector in Hong Kong.

Our company is pleased to announce our support to and participation in the pilot run of the "Customer Complaint Settlement Scheme" (hereinafter referred to as "CCSS") commencing from 1 April 2013. The CCSS is a mediation scheme aiming at resolving billing disputes in deadlock between customers and their telecommunications service providers outside the judicial system with less legal formality and without the need for expensive legal cost. The mediation service will be provided by an independent service centre set up under the Communications Association of Hong Kong, which is a non-profit making association for Hong Kong's communications industries.
